The Red Sox ate $15.17 million by releasing Hanley and he was hitting much better than Kole.  Smart organizations know when to cut ties with players.

And minimize bad contracts, which I thought the Halos had starting doing until giving Upton 5 years/$106 million to be just about the most inconsistent player this side of Cron.

In april i made a comment about finally not losing interest after we trailed a game, because the offense was so hot.

Saupold is a pitcher waiting to blow up in a bad way.    Only 10 Ks and 1.36 WHIP in 21 innings prior to today, and yet a 2.50 ERA????

He has to be one of those pus throwers?

At least Heaney minimized the bullpen use today, given the putrid 1st inning.

This was Hanley's contract year. He's comiing off the books anyway. There's no continuing obligation against the cap. They started 2018 at $233 million.

He did, and much more than that, with Wells and Hackilton, and a similar amount with GMJHGH.

I was kind of surprised Marty Foster stayed in the game after that knock on the head. It just took a couple of innings before he realized he should have left earlier.
