Statcast and the Baseball Savant website are amazing. I get lost for days caught up in incredible data sometimes.

Haha. Just imagine what it will be like when/if MLBAM makes the full Statcast data publicly available.

You should check out Tom Tango's blog btw. Some of the work he is doing with defensive metrics is incredible. We aren't that far off having really reliable and accurate defensive numbers.

There is just something about his ability to come in to big games, dominate, and not be taken out. Syndergaard looked better, but couldn't stick around.
