Ok @Don.  Since you look like you will be getting a permanent tattoo.  Maybe one of our tattoo experts can chime in.  Maybe get Mauer in Yellow mixed in with a very light bllue, with no black.  Because I would think that those colors would be easier to conceal after the fact.

Red.

Most artists don't like using red or shades involving because our pigment rejects it. Most of my red has held up because he purposely went deeper and went over it again. But if he just treated it like normal tattoo work it would have just faded out by now.

Ironically, blues and yellows hold up well. I'm colorblind and some of my work includes color mixtures, but it looks like orange and green doesn't seem to hold up.

It's his shoulder, no one will see it and the ones that do will get a cool story with it and buy him a beer for going through with it.

Don, when you made your bet, did you agree to PAY for said tattoo, or just agree to get one?

I will not be paying for it. A number of people have pledged money to the cause.

Do you have the choice of the Tattoo artist? If so you could opt for someone like Perez, Nunez or Helm and hope for a serious waiting period. Also you would be getting a premium tattoo.

The deal is that I have to get a re-creation of a Joe Mauer baseball card that will not exceed 5 inches top to bottom. Everyone involved agreed that I get final choice of coloring, and I get to review preliminary sketches of the work before choosing the artist.

I said Perez but meant Oliver Peck.  His shop is in Dallas.  Might be worth the drive.

If you get final choice in coloring then go with this.
