Jordan Zimmerman out of Michigan St

PRIOR TO MSU: Hit .378 with 15 doubles, five home runs and had 49 RBIs to earn tournament MVP honors in leading Mesa Community College to the NJCAA World Series title in 2014 ... Stole 22 bases in 2014 with Mesa ... Hit .396 in 42 games in his second season with Mesa ... Won the Marucci Elite Hitter Award as the best hitter in the southwest ... Voted to the Northwoods League All-Star team in the summer of 2015.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Ross Pagel at Red Mountain High School, earning three varsity letters ... Jonathan Mayo saying he thought Williams was more of a 2017 name, but it sounded like he could possibly have ended up being an easy first round pick with his skillset. If they sign Thaiss, Marsh, and Williams, I'd consider this is a pretty dope draft. Could also be some of the reasoning to overdraft Thaiss? Save money for the guys with sign-ability concerns/commitments (Marsh and Williams)
