Hillary Hates Taxes and other Hillaryous things

I'm not sure why Red would need to mildly address her decision making. I guess if you parse out the 7000+ people who donated to the Clinton Foundation to a very narrow scope, and then parse out the thousands of people she met with as SoS to include left handed people she met on a Tuesday the optics of it all really don't mean shit if you actually read the AP article.

Damn you Hillary...how dare you meet with a Nobel Peace Prize and Presidential Medal of Freedom winner who was having issues with a foreign government!

Muhammad Yunus, a Bangladeshi economist who won the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for pioneering low-interest "microcredit" for poor business owners, met with Clinton three times and talked with her by phone during a period when Bangladeshi government authorities investigated his oversight of a nonprofit bank and ultimately pressured him to resign from the bank's board. Throughout the process, he pleaded for help in messages routed to Clinton, and she ordered aides to find ways to assist him.

So, how do you feel about the type of work the Clinton Foundation does and the global issues they attempt to address?

My issue even with that is.  Why does a person like that, need to go through the Clinton Foundation to meet with a Secretary of State for help?  And why does this person need to donate to the Clinton Foundation?  Shouldn't it be the Clinton Foundation offering him money?

Wasn't it the Donald who said "you give them money and when you need something, just call them up and you get it."

I am sure he is in some of those e-mails.  what a clusterfuck.

He is smarter than Hillary though. Make a call and get millions in casino tax debt relieved for unlimited free buffet.

You asked Red for an answer,  he gave an honest and detailed one, and you responded with hyperbole and sarcasm.

Edge: Red.

To be fair, my initial post was sarcasm, and included no such question. But, definitely Edge: Red. He's relevant.

It's good to know the  85 donors, who combined contributed as much as $156 million (at least 40 donated more than $100,000 each, and 20 giving more than $1 million), are just made up of Nobel Peace Prize winners and Presidential Medal of Freedom winners.  I'm assuming there's probably a smattering of Make A Wish foundation kids, 1 legged nuns and 12 year old science fair winners in there too.

To me, the problem is not that they got access to her.  The problem is that she was Sec of State.  If it happened while she was out of office then who cares, that shit happens, money buys you an audience always.  It should never when it comes to politics, especially Sec of State.

Bingo.  Especially when she promised to maintain a separation between her official work and the foundation.

What exactly is your issue with the Clinton Foundation Geoff and Adam? But hey...maybe we'll all get lucky and the foundation can get shuttered...sure, hundreds of thousands of lives will be negatively impacted but...?????...victory!

http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/24/politics/clinton-foundation-explainer/index.html

Is it the international work and helping people get HIV/AIDs medication?

* In more than 70 countries, according to the foundation, it helps 11.5 million people, including 800,000 children, with HIV/AIDS get their medication at 90% lower cost -- more than half the adults and three-quarters of the children getting treatment in the world today.
* It helps East African farmers get better seeds and fertilizers
* Supported Nepal's reconstruction after the 2015 earthquakes
* Connected more than 500,000 Latin Americans to job training and entrepreneurship opportunities
Maybe it's the stateside work? Drug addiction prevention?
* It has a school program that operates in every state, affecting more than 31,000 schools and 18 million students by its count. That program is to improve physical education, child nutrition, health education and staff wellness programs
* They also work on prescription drug addiction. The foundation wants to halve the number of opioid overdoses -- right now those drugs kill more Americans than car accidents.

Maybe it's the Clinton Global Initiative?

* CGI says it has helped make more than 3,500 pledges, or "commitments," between funders and projects. In real-life terms, that means more than 430 million people in more than 180 countries have had their lives touched?

* More than 46 million children have gotten access to a better education, the foundation calculates. CGI says it has raised more than $313 million to research and develop new vaccines, medicines and diagnostics. And it has helped more than 27 million people have better access to safe drinking water and sanitation.

Oh, wait...it's probably all the criticism they are receiving from other charitable groups and those that monitor them? How does the philanthropic world see the Clinton Foundation?

They're held in high esteem. There are watchdog groups that judge charities on how they're run, how transparent they are and how much they spend on programs -- some charities raise a ton of money, but spend a large percentage on salaries and bonuses instead of their actual cause.
Charity Watch gave the Clinton Foundation an A grade, while GuideStar gave it a platinum rating.
Daniel Borochoff of Charity Watch noted that in 2014, 87.2% of the foundation's funding went to its programs, "which is really high." The foundation, he said, does "really important, valuable work that saves lives of lots of people."
For a while, another group called Charity Navigator had the Clinton Foundation on a watch list because of media reports about possible conflicts of interest. It didn't judge the merit of the reports but wanted to flag for donors that others were raising questions.

She's clearly a wonderful public servant. Selfless is probably the best way to describe her.

She still wears some of the ugliest $13k designer clothes in the world. This coat  probably came with matching pot holders and a dish rag. I swear you can buy identical seat covers for your Volvo PV544 sedan in the JC Whitney catalogue.

I think if you change the name from Clinton to Corleone you have your answer.

Imagine what the fee... Uh.... donation amount will be to see her as the President.
