It may be cartoonish, but at least it doesn't look like it's from a Japanese anime porno, like San Jose's logo

Neither the Mighty Ducks logo or the webbed D are the greatest logo of all time, but I have no idea how anybody could say either one sucks (like I see on HF and twitter all the time). Both are pretty good imo.

Looking at next season.  Players of note:

RFA

Vatanen

Andersen

Sekac

Depres

Lindholm

Rakell

Gibson

Wagner

UFA, nothing too major.  Jackman, Holzer, Horcoff, Khudobin.

I can really see us trading one of our goalies either this season or offseason.  And from the list, I think that Lindholm is the only untouchable.  IMO, for the rest of the RFA's.  This is in a way a tryout for the Ducks.  If their cost exceeds their benefit, I can easily see them moved.

Good to see Hagelin signed up, as far as the RFA go, Lindholm, Rakell, Vatanen, and DePres will all be important to retain. The D will just get better as it matures. We need to definitively figure out the goalie situation this year and I think the acquisition of Khubadin reflects the clubs intention to do so. I'm personally really hoping that Gibson can stay healthy and stand out from Anderson, his ceiling IMO is much higher. Anderson is what he is IMO. He's a guy that's a solid enough starting netminder but he won't be stealing any games. Gibson IMO has the athletic tools to be an elite NHL goalie.

Sekac is a guy that hopefully is able to bury his chances a bit better this year. He certainly generated them when he played. I was disappointed that he didn't find his way into the line up more often in the playoffs last year. He's a talented skater with skill and hopefully he is able to translate that to sucess in the NHL. At the very worst he's a good depth guy but his upside is high. Last year was his first year here, he previously played and distinguished himself in the Czech league. I like his game, and thought he was a good pull for smith pelly, whom I think is useless for anything other then the forecheck.

I think Vatanen is pretty untouchable along with the ones Cory listed.  I doubt Sekac will stay unless he has a big year.  He hasn't impressed me at all.

Vatanen's definitely not untouchable. Considering he puts up a lot of points, he could easily price himself out of town. I don't know if the Ducks could afford to give Vatanen $4.5M+ to be a 4/5 PP specialist.

And guys, it's "Despres".

Vatanen would have to have a huge year to command a 4.5 mil contract.  That said, we do have some guys in the pipes if the Ducks are not able to retain a guy like Vatanen.  Shea Theodore is looking like he's potentially a top D man.  Decent chance we see him in Anaheim this year hopefully the potential pans out.

Potential lines of

Maroon-Getz-Perry

Hags-Kes-Silf

Cogs-Rakell-Stewart

Sekac-Santorelli-Horcroff

There's still Thompson, Ritchie, and God knows who else on the depth chart. ****ing a!

I actually think Hagelin will be on the top line and cogs with Kesler again.  Maroon will drop to the third or fourth line.

Santorelli has played plenty of RW. They'd move him to the wing before Horcoff, fwiw.

My guess:

Maroon-Getzlaf-Perry

Hagelin-Kesler-Silfverberg

Cogliano-Horcoff-Santorelli

Sekac-Rakell-Stewart

Curious to see what happens to Wagner, since they can't send him down without going through waivers.
