Normally id agree that it doesnt matter, but this guy still doesnt get the part that he needs to learn to keep his mouth shut.

In all reality, saying "it doesnt matter" about someone who held your hand and gave you every oppurtunity (even when you sucked) is about what id expect from the guy. People can defend him all they want, but thats not 'the disease' talking. Just from what ive rezd throughout the years, hes been a lump most of his life.

Heres a question for his defenders (either on here or just in general). I keep reading the same "if he was hitting none of this would have been an issue and he wouldve been treated differently by the team". Fine.

But what if he couldnt play baseball at all? If he was just josh the carpenter that cheated on his wife (and im not higher than though, im putting it into perspective of if he was just another guy) repeatedly with strippers and flaked at his job and did drugs, would you feel the same sympathy for him? Because i deal with those people all day long...and usually its their family or friends calling me to arrest them for the latest bullshit theyve pulled.

Face it, moreno no more tried to take advantage of a loophole in the contract (and failed) than hamilton did. Hes gotten by this whole time based solely on his god given tslent, not his hard work. When the talent eroded (or he just stopped caring) why the hell else should he get a free pass?

Hes got the money in hand so he doesnt have to work for it anymore, but theres a ton of other guys (with half his skill) who would have busted their ass and played hurt for the angels AND rangers (when he was pulling his shit with them) when he chose to blow others off and not be bothered with things.

Would love to hear his comments on what his friend said about him over the winter...

I always wondered how he'd want to get away from his 'latest situation' so badly but go back to a place where he criticized the fans, city and had a contribution in a fan dying.

 

Obviously not on purpose...but wouldn't it make more sense to go to somewhere besides Arlington?

i dont. Im not anywhere close to naive enough to believe hes the only baseball player that uses drugs. And i dont judge any of them, thats their business how they choose to live their life.

Once it effects someone else ill take issue. And if he cant control his off time to the point where it effects the team i pull for, why wouldnt i or anyone else have an opinion?

Should we only knock guys that perform poorly because of lack of talent? Because that seems a little ass backward
