After his first 15 games with Anaheim:

Hamilton: .200 / .258 / .367 (stayed around there until August)

After his first 15 games with Anaheim:

Pujols: .262 / .382 / .377

After his first 30 games with Anaheim:

Pujols: .190 / .228 / .281

Here's another one you forgot:

After his first 40 games in Anaheim:

...yet the Angels decided to give this player $25M a year  :o

Meanwhile soon to be 40 years of age Derek Jeter is quietly hitting a very respectable .295 so what's everyone else's excuse?

Oh and I though this was funny. Where's the rest of the Red Sox team?

And Naps has been doing that with one part time finger.

I liked the prince fielder trade from the beginning, and I'm loving it now.  dude is on a serious decline

Silly comments like this is why I had a knee-jerk reaction to Inside Pitch's comment the other day. You obviously don't know how trends work if you think that his "down" season portended a decline or that his struggles this season really mean anything. He's not gonna continue hitting like Jeff Mathis' invalid brother just like Alexei Ramirez isn't going to end the season with a 204 wrc+.Fielder's bat speed is intact which is encouraging but his approach right now is extremely counterproductive. Sure, he could become Chone Figgins with the bat, but I'll wait until he's an average hitter for a couple of years to declare him done.

You guys might as well throw Miguel Cabrera in the conversation with his crappy .250/.294/.396/.690 line.

Meanwhile Kinsler is a happy guy in Detroit hitting .327/.352/.519/.871

I know there's a few games left in April, but Miggy has always killed it the first month of the season.  If he doesn't show any signs of improvement by the end of the month, the MVP door may be opening wider for Trout.
