I fully expect it to be the worst season (I kind of liked Season 3)

 

All of my favorite characters (minus Unser) have been killed off.

 

It'll be acceptable though and wasn't that bad for a premiere.

It seems like the season is starting just like the majority of seasons. Someone lies which gets the club into a world of shit and a lot of people die. I'm kind of glad they are wrapping up this show.

 

Hopefully in the end Gemma is the only one left standing (via killing Jax) and everyone who watches the show gets pissed.

 

The best thing I read today about the show on another board: "it's just small bits of plot mixed in with hours of handshakes, hugs, and hanging out in a hospital."

I get the feeling Sutter will go overboard with the psychological shit.  Like more overboard than he normally does it.

I still watch the show but view it more like a summer action movie than a great series. The shitty Deus Ex Machina with the CIA a few seasons back was when I gave up on it ever being really good. But it's fun to watch a couple gunfights and car chases every week. Not to mention, the show absolutely kills it on the music front.

Did anyone watch the 40 minute special at the end of the season premiere?  I will never get those 40 minutes back.  It was the worst attempt to copy Talking Dead ever.  The host couldn't get a line out without "uh, uh, uh," the producers in his earpiece were all over the board, and Sutter added less than zero to it.  Terrible.  F.

Truly bad episode of a truly bad series.  Appalling acting, with abysmal musical score.  Whatever heavy-metal rock they were playing at the party was beyond bad, was that even a real band?

 

It's like a train wreck though, you can't help but watch.

I forgot how Juice ended up here......his same arc has been going on for three seasons or more. The talk show was uninteresting, I fast forwarded through it. I forgot how generic the show is. It doesn't have the tension of top shows.

 

And I loathe every time they do some chase scene like the Asian gun trade where they always play some shitty white trash butt rock during the chase scene.

 

There are high points, but this has run its course.

This got me thinking about the best moments of the show, episodes, seasons.

I'd have to go over a synopsis again, but Opie, that finale where they murk that chick agent, that shit where you thought they were going to kill Tig and then went the opposite direction, how they killed Clay, and personally speaking...The last season (I think) where they went into bad parents or child porn people's house and Jax out of the blue dropped the chick. It wasn't any different than any murder scene, but seemed the most boss.

Funny that a few of you mentioned the music.  I never notice it.

 

I would much rather they play something with loud guitars than Of Monsters and Men or Fitz & the Tantrums.

 

The show peaked when they offed the ATF chick.  It never came close to reaching that level again.

 

I heard an interview with Sutter on KROQ where he was saying that Jax was going to be reckless this season because he lost Tara and immediately knew it would be awful.  Sutter is bringing the gratuitous shit to a whole new level.

 

I will watch it because it is in its last season, like Boardwalk Empire.  Both aren't very high on the list though.  I think Boardwalk is even worse.

I was hoping this season would be different but it's the same shit of killing the wrong guy and then plotting to get through it the whole season until a surprise twist happens at the end. I'm in the same boat where I'll watch just because I have already invested every episode. The only thing left to see is if anything happens between mom and Jax.

How dare you sir!  You take that back about Matt Dillon!  He is a fine human and part time actor!  I treasure his work in Something About Mary

 

This season is just...predictable.  Not the actual events, but the story lines.  I think I liked the first season the best.  It unfortunately set the hook and allowed Sutter to troll us for 6 more seasons of shit
