The gap between Doyyer and the Angels hasn't been this wide in decades

The Dodgers pulled a 7.0 rating the other night.

It frigging looked like Oscar night at the Ravine the last couple nights, and with packed houses.

The Angels, on the other hand, offer overpaid, underperforming nags closer to the glue factory than the playoffs.  And they offer bunts.  Lots of them.

Arte, with his insane jealousy of all things Doyyer, must be hating it.  Hopefully, this is the impetus to s-can the Bunting Manager.

Yep when the Dodgers were down and close to bankruptcy Arte tried to steal the show by signing Pujols to take the Angels to another level. I'm not faulting Arte for trying but I do think that he hired the wrong GM to guide him. Dipoto had resources other GM's could only dream of and he failed to utilize them to build a winner. The GM's from the A's, Rays and Pirates wish they had that kind of money to burn. I doubt that any of those teams would hire Dipoto as their GM.

The Dodgers are spending lots of money like our Angels. Only problem is their money is actually performing quite nicely where as ours is absolute garbage.

This statement is complete bullshit.

They have crapload of underperforming overpaid players like Kemp, Ethier, Crawford and Beckett.

It's just that the Dodgers payroll dwarfs the Angels payroll and they can afford to absorb these underperforming contracts.

Ethier has a 742 OPS better than Hamilton and about the same as Pujols

Crawford has a 744 OPS

Kemp has been terrible this year

Becket ain't great

But they have other players not making a ton who are producing and they have pitching. Other than Trout, Kendrick, Weaver and Wilson no one on our team is producing

Did you see this?

Dodgers 2013 payroll 220,395,196

Angels 2013 payroll 127,896,250

That's nice, I somehow think that even if we had a 220 mil payroll we would still be in this position. It feels like the GM is just not picking the right players to play together properly.
