Toronto's bullpen is more than a full run better than ours. In fact their top 3 relievers in terms of innings pitched all have an ERA under 2. Their rotation also has more upside, even though they have been struggling just as much as ours so far.

It gets better.  

Their 4 top relievers have a collective Ks/BBs ratio of about 3.5 to 1.0, and have also allowed just SIX HRs in 138 innings while pitching half of the time in a launching pad.

 

It must be nice to have a real bullpen.   We haven't had one since 2008.

Because they have better coaching.  This team will never have the fundamentals and leadership to go on a run like that.

The Jays had the guts to fire an ineffective manager last season.

They brought in someone they knew, had once fired, but thought the players might respond to.

It took a couple months to gel, but it has.

Proving that, when things go to #$@&, change if only for change sake is worth a try, and sometimes it even works.
