But I'll excuse anyone who thought positively because it was likely the "new season smell" that people had. Everyone and their grandma will think their team is good and has a shot at being decent... until they face reality.

Exactly. That's why I predicted the Halos to have 58 wins. 60+ and it's considered a good season at this point. Anyone that thought higher than last year's 73 wins are delusional.

I'm still on the fence with him. I'm not mad that he left, I'm mad at Arte for being the retard that he is by refusing to trade him if he wasn't going to make a play for him. However, I'm also mad that he went to the Dodgers of all teams. -_- I hope he still produces but nothing amazing like he did with the Angels. Maybe just hit 30 HRs and get 85 RBIs or whatever and get 5 wins (when he can pitch). And I hope his teammates just absolutely suck and disappoint him. In an ideal world.. the Halos being better off without him would be a nice "punch" to his gut. But we all know how the world really works and it's shit. The Dodger are winning 7 out of the next 10 World Series.

If I was Arte or Perry.. I'd be blunt with him. Are you willing to be traded at the deadline but you'll secretly commit to re-signing with us over the off-season? This allows Trout, O'Hoppe, Neto, etc to get healthy. Oh and Rendon too (they all pause and laugh). Then with the pieces we have added from trading you, are you willing to come back and take us over the top? And hopefully you return to us with a ring as well.
