Yeah, I never even considered laying down a bet on his play this weekend.

I just happened to be in Vegas, Monday thru Wednesday and I happened to be sitting in Circa’s Sportsbook, and this guy and I were talking about prop bets. He pushed me into that bet.

I also put $100 on the Angels at +850 and $100 on the White Sox at +450 to win their respective divisions.

I would have took the $50 flyer on a top 10 @ +480 if I had that option. $24k is juicy. Even when he is broken he usually scrapes a top 10 or close to it here.

Finishing 1 under is an excellent round, this is the Masters and even par in the first round is a feat. Both of his errant tee shots that left him with a long approach he converted and made it look easy. Hard to believe he has so many shots in his bag today with only practice rounds to get ready.

And let’s not forget the short, makeable putt he missed on 14, or he’s -2.

I truly believe after watching him walk off 18, he had the look like he did when he was in his prime.  Laser focused.

That putt on 18 is going to have a remarkable mental effect on him in a positive way, IMO.

It was great to see him smile as he walked off the course.

$240 Brandon.  But I like where your head’s at.

Tiger had 9 one putts today, two for birdies on the par 3's. His short game off the green was locked in. Whether the fringe or fairway all of those shots kept him from a bogey filled round. His feel for his wedges and 8 irons on the fringe was next level.

Which seems like a good time to bring up a bone to pick with books. Why make it +480 instead of +4.8 since they are already using fractional denominations on the board for 13/1, etc. and sticking with the $1 unit? I never understood why they made that one based of $100 increments instead of $1 increments like the rest of play.

practice round tickets are easier to get than tournament tickets, but still hard as hell to find. i put my name on a waiting list about three years ago but don't ever expect to get notified that i've won.

a friend of mine won the ticket lottery about 3 or 4 years ago and won two tickets for one day of the practice rounds. she and her son flew to atlanta for a two day trip just so she could see jordan speith. but hey, it was still augusta, and i'd probably do the same.

IIRC, @stevestevens went to the masters a few years ago. dude, got any stories to share?

I drew out for Sunday once and practice tickets twice. Don’t know how I have been so lucky. I never expect to draw out again. All my brothers put in every year and have never won.

it is an amazing experience. I would go every year if I could.

Dude, that’s awesome.  I put in every year and never get selected.

God must love you more.

once you were selected, how much did you have to pay for the tickets? or did you have to pay at all?
