65 innings last year.  Always have to keep that in mind.  His numbers this year line up with (or are worse than) pretty much every year except last year.  Last year is clearly the outlier.

Unfortunately when you're as desperate for pitching as the Angels are, you have to hold on to any pitching no matter how flukey it may seem.

I mean, I guess I understand that...But he wasn't even really all THAT great last year if you break it down.  His first 4 starts, he had 1.57 ERA.  In his last 7 starts, he had a 4.62 ERA.

The Angels are the most stereotypical mediocre team. That's why it's easy to avoid watching them play bad baseball since all you have to do is tune out whenever they face playoff contending teams
