Cry all you want but the economy has been good during his presidency. He isn't destroying it.

This is a good debate point.  You do know how many people continuously say Obama destroyed the economy when that simply is false.  So for Trumpsters they love Trump's economy because he revived it from the ruins Obama left it in.  Fat Tangelo says it all the time himself.  Just checking if you do know that when telling people they are crying.

Yes, it is a fact that the economy was picking up before Obama left. Obama inherited a poor one. Since Trump was elected it has continued and gotten better. This is the reason he will likely win again.

What Jars forgets is the unemployment level was over 9% in 2010. Was that job creation or simply a return to pre-recession unemployment rate? If you strip the politics out of it then obviously it wasn't as much as job creation as it was workers returning to jobs that returned into service.

When the unemployment rate drops to 4% just how much harder is it to drop it to 3%? If you look at like weight loss, it's a lot easier to lose weight when morbidly obese (9% unemployment rate) than when you are trying to drop those last 5lbs (job creation at a 4% unemployment rate).

A lot more people went back to work after being laid off in an economy that emploded and recoverd than new jobs created in a strong economy. Brilliant chart reading, Jars.

The fact is the unemployment rate is at a record low over the last 50 years. That is notable and has value.

Specifically, deregulation. Whether you agree with that or not is a different subject. It's more important that he isn't destroying it.

What are the specific deregulation policies he's implemented that have improved the economy?

The biggest sectors of growth are terrible “gig” economy jobs that people are forced to take.  There’s also the issue of people who have simply fallen off the books because they’ve exited the work force all together.  America continues to get worse for working people.  You can pin up whatever numbers you want.  This is a fact.  People work more for less.  Their dollar doesn’t go as far.  It sucks.

pull up your bootstraps I guess.

I find it hard to give either side credit when during Obama's presidency the national debt increased by 8.6T and by the time we get through Trump's first term it's projected to increase by another 5T.  The president's aren't fully to blame for this as Congress has a hand it in it too but celebrating the short term gains under either completely ignores the long term implications.

Ya your health and where you live.  Minor things.    Not principal fucking components of life.

Trump claimed unemployment was at 40% under Obama.
