The Bachelorette postpones production due to coronavirus

Warner Bros., which produces ABC's The Bachelor and its spinoffs, announced Friday that it is postponing production on season 16 of The Bachelorette due to coronavirus.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Warner Bros. Television group said, "With the rapidly changing events related to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, Warner Bros. Television Group is halting production on some of our 70+ series and pilots currently filming or about to begin.  There have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on any of our productions, but the health and safety of our employees, casts and crews remains our top priority.

To be fair I think the coronavirus is about the last thing anyone on that show should be concerned about catching.

My company sent out an email about best practices and to let corporate know if we are going to travel or go on vacation. Also, it’s preferred we work from home. A lot of bigger companies are in quarantine.

My buddy today told me they cut his hours to once a week (and most employees) until they figure out what to do.

Some wild times. Going to be a pretty boring weekend with poor weather and no sports.

All contestants are run through extensive blood tests for STDs unlike you guys girlfriends.

The current show I will be finishing will be primarily done from home. They are arranging for the editing staff to work from home which can be problematic simply because they need producers to sign off which means far more work for the assist staff that will have to work out of the office where the servers are. This will be a clusterfrack.

My kid's school district just notified us about cancelling school at least until April 14th, when they'll re-evaluate the situation. Man, what a life-changer this is becoming.

I've only had a couple calls and emails today at work when I typically get a couple dozen. Seems everyone is staying home, not even working. 

No school, no events, no sports. But Pornhub is there, like a good friend.

My son's school just got closed. It says only for two weeks, but they have Spring Break the week after they are supposed to be back, so I'm guessing they extend it.

My wife is the acting principal when there is Saturday school on her campus. The weekend's session was cancelled.

We shut the show down at the theater I run. We will be dark for quite a while since we were only 5 shows into a 20 show run. This was one of our “money shows”. The ones that keep our doors open.

Oh well, we will get through it. Rent might just come out of my pocket.

i can see that if they get a lot of old timers that visit. lot of those guys aint got a lot of days left so hopefully it opens soon if they have never seen it. now that was a truly great generation of americans.
