My wife returned to teaching in class two weeks ago with mask and social distancing protocols. Parents send their children to school with water bottles because all of the drinking fountains are shut off. Only one child is allowed in the bathrooms at a time. So far no problems.

we returned to school today. several of the restrictions your wife's school used were ones we used last year. the changes we've made are that kids no longer need to socially distance themselves, the water fountain is open again, more than 2 can enter the bathroom at a time, and masks are optional when you're outside. first day went pretty well though lots of kids at recess kept their masks on.

People that work have ID's

You need one to get a job

It's the people that don't work that don't have them

You can use a social security card and birth certificate to get a job. You don't need a photo ID.

So if you can get a social security card how come its so impossible to get a picture ID? And if you need both the social security card and birth certificate to get a job, then those are documents that can be used to get an ID. Seems like you argument keeps falling apart the more you try and make excuses.

Don't even need your birth certificate.

How to Apply for an ID Card

To apply for an ID card:

  • Complete a Driver’s License (DL) or ID Card Application.
  • Visit a DMV office, where you will:
    • Provide your social security number (SSN).
    • Verify your identity with an acceptable identity document. Your current name needs to match the name on the identity document.
    • Present acceptable residency documents (if you have never had a California DL/ID card).
    • Pay the nonrefundable application fee (see below for information about reduced- and no-fee ID cards).
    • Have your thumbprint scanned.
    • Have your photo taken.
    • If you want to apply for a REAL ID, you must also provide proof of your identity, SSN, and two proofs of residency from the list of acceptable REAL ID documents.

The whole "access to id" thing is a myth perpetuated by the left so they can have the "voter suppression" bogeyman.

Some old guy in Mississippi has trouble proving who he is so the whole system is racist.

You get a social security card automatically mailed to you after you're born. You don't have to do anything to get it. And if you need another one, you can order it online. For free.

Lulz, Rico and I are the only ones who have posted any evidence in support of our positions.

Failos and GB shared info about how to get an ID in California, which is helpful ... for anyone in California. But believe it or not, there are people who live in other states.

It's not like other states make it difficult to get one. You just have to prove you are who you say you are and that you live in the state you are wanting an ID for. Jay is right that obtaining and ID is difficult is, for the most part, a myth. If it is a wide spread problem that affects a significant amount of people then something should be done.

I voted here once with just my voter registration card they mail.  Forgot where my license was, likely left my wallet in the golf cart.

You voted by mail and didn't commit voter fraud? Missed opportunity!

That makes it easy in Texas, since you're issued a gun with your social security card at birth.

In all seriousness, you guys should also look into the amount of government buildings in certain rural and urban areas.
