I'm not sure the amount of cases of the outbreak rates as an epidemic at this point. It has potential but outside of China there are very few hotspots and even those are a small fraction of the population.

L.A. County is declaring a state of emergency as six new cases are found.

Not a great development.

I hope it goes away by May too. That way we can spend May-November hearing about the Astros cheating scandal.

Every store everywhere is reportedly out of hand sanitizer. I have one small bottle left.

My local Ralphs has some antibacterial soap left, but very little. 

Costco is selling out of toilet paper and all sorts of other non-perishables. People are thinking (panicking?) that they may be housebound for a long period of time. I don't think that's going to happen.
