Cubs 9, Angels 0. 2016. Not so long ago.

EDIT: Angels also shut out in openers 1968, 2002 and 2009.

the thing is, this is a non competitive situation so the Bedrock will probably be dominant.  

Also, Cahill is fine.  4 runs shouldn’t feel insurmountable.  It’s opening day so whatever.  But this is the same shit we saw last year and year before.  We need competitive AB’s and the guys that surround our “good” players are once again not delivering them.  It’s hard to not be concerned about it. Again, because this is exactly the same as last year.  Just gotta hope for the best.
