It’s amazing that the Democrats are making the same mistake as a few years ago. They are sending one of the few people in the entire world who won’t be able to beat Trump. Literally all they had to do was put a normal person up against him and it would be a blowout.

Once the presidential campaign starts Bernie is going to be obliterated. The guy’s history of vacationing in the Soviet Union and praising their and Cuba’s governments is not going to fly.

Goooonnnnna need a source on that last part.

This is such a boomer mentality and it's stupid.

I guess taking chances and trying to improve your life instead of constantly reciting your problems and being frozen in fear is a boomer thing.

You have outlined your situation dozens of times. What I guess I don't understand is why you continue to stay in the same situation while you are young enough to actually make a change. Eventually opportunities time out and it isn't about some useless piece o paper from the College of Perpetual Debt. It's about simply trying something else.

Or you can keep saying fuck you to everyone and have another beer.

I don't even think Bernie believes most of the stuff he proposes will be possible. But he's not going to get anywhere without extreme policies. Otherwise he's just another boring politician.

Finally we're getting somewhere.

How do we pay for all of Bernie’s “free” shit? We already run trillion dollar deficits. We don’t even come close to paying for the shit not included in his plan.

I know, I know, just tax the billionaires more. I am sure the math will add up. If we simply make them pay their fair share, we will generate trillions in new revenue that can fund these great programs. And the government that can’t even manage a caucus correctly will assuredly be able to manage health care for 350,000,000.

We don’t. His whole schtick is just one ginormous empty platitude. Bernie is just a capitalist selling socialism to some foolish people and many more looking for hope. None of his shit will ever become reality. He can’t win the general even if he gets a nomination and even if he could, he couldn’t get any of his crap through government. He’s just going to further enrich himself.

Even if I agreed with that Adam, and I don’t.  What other choice do people have ? If you believe the current trajectory is untenable what else is there ? The alternative is what ? Pretty ugly if you think about it.  I know you think it’s funny to joke about voting harder.  I mean fine.  You’re not really going that far out on a limb lecturing us about how impotent we are.

I just spent 20 minutes wiping my ass after a particularly nasty poop so I don't feel like dealing with your shit right now.

I was just answering Phil’s question with my honest opinion. I don’t really care who wins or loses. It just makes me sad how much hope people place into these evil, evil human beings

Believing the current trajectory is untenable isn’t a reason to vote for someone or a philosophy that speeds it up especially when that involves more government control and taxes. Given the two choices I prefer the slow bleed where I can still achieve a middle class lifestyle.

Ya but I do believe in the philosophy.  The conservatives have never ever done anything about the deficit boogeyman you keep crying about.  They just funnel more and more to the military and the huge business interests.  Deny it.  Go ahead.  You’d be fucking wrong.  That is objectively all that ever happens with conservative government.   I don’t really give a shit that you guys call me an idiot for thinking that maybe that money should start getting funneled  to social services that help people instead.  To large national projects that build things.  Fine.  And yes I know.  Now comes the part about how the government fucks up everything the takers stealing from producers.  It’s all horse shit.

Look, if he wins and turns out to be evil then you’ll be proven right.  I hope we can find out.

Interesting.

Not really anything damning though. It's pretty much all about stuff he didn't say.

If I were to bring up the "Good people on both sides" statement you guys would have no problems jumping on me for it. Trump hasn't openly condemned White Nationalism, but that doesn't mean he supports it.

So when Bernie doesn't talk about all the bad things going on in these countries, it doesn't mean he supports them.

Btw my Aunt vacationed in Moscow once. She loved it. Fucking communist c*nt.

He'll be proven right regardless because he already believes that he's "evil". Although he gets a pass because he thinks all politicians are evil which is mostly true.

But if you think for one second that if Bernie somehow wins the election that any single Republican on this forum or anywhere else is going to change their mind on him you are nuts.

Whomever is in office, the other side spends 4-8 years bitching and moaning about how awful everything is regardless of how bad it might actually be.

Hey, I don’t disagree with the notion that most politicians are evil fucking goblins.  They surely are.  Maybe foolishly, i’m hoping that Bernie is not.  Not any worse then thinking the Angels might win the World Series soon I figure.  He has objectively stayed true to the things that he talks about for decades.  To ideas that I believe in.  So, I’ll support him and hope for the best.  I’ve posted all over the forum about my awareness of the huge challenges that exist even if he does somehow win.

and as far as people changing their minds ? I mean sure.  Most probably won’t.  Maybe some will if things go well.  I can’t really worry about that.  I’m not interested in trying to convince hard right wingers.  They aren’t changing my mind and I figure I’m not changing theirs.  Arguing on here is a thing to do.  Occasionally it’s funny.  Gotta admit this kc guy is pretty funny.

Bernie is definitely a good person, but whether that continues while he's in office remains to be seen. All I know is he's fought for civil rights for over 50 years so he's down with the brown.

Also, another funny thing for you contards: I fully supported John Kasich in the R primaries. If he was the nominee I may have even voted for him. Don't agree with a lot of his policies but I would have taken him over Hillary or Trump easily.
