Bernie isn't as far to the left as you guys think he is. Maybe in American politics...

Well, that's where we live so I guess he is a far left threat to traditional American political values. It is what the liberal left is blind to, we are not a piss poor small Euro country that their Middle class didn't have any buying power in the first place so subjugating them to even less wasn't even a political risk. It is like feudalism was never far from a little lying legislature away, they are serfs once again.

And I really don't want to hear about how poor your world is, you have choices for change but are not motivated enough to make them. So ratcheting your standard of living onto over half the country that is doing better just so you can get some half ass substandard government health care doesn't really garner my support.

OK, a little salty but my wife just rejected the chorizo and cheese omelette I just made her, literally feeding it to the dogs, so someone was going to take the reciprocal hit.

Love you.

The one where he said he wants to socialize healthcare, forgive student loan debt (except mine, because I make too much), and raise my taxes to pay for it all.

Well first, the healthcare issue is likely never going to happen, at least not in the way he wants it to.

Second, Bernie has never said (as far as I know) that he would only cancel student loan debt for people in a specific income bracket. There's a note on his sight that says canceling all of student loan debt would count for 73% benefit the bottom 80% of Americans. If this is wrong I'd love to see a source.

The only tax I've seen that Bernie has proposed that doesn't exclusively impact millionaires and billionaires is the one to expand SS, which would be a tax on any income over $250,000. If that's going to affect you, no offense, and I'm sure you have worked your ass off your entire life, but boo fucking hoo.

Bingo. Why the hell are we trying to copy a bunch of losers from Europe?  Their socialist utopias only exist today because we liberated their ass twice and have paid for most of their defense since. Screw Europe

Dude, fuck off. You don't know my situation at all. I work 40 hours a week like most people. That's just fucking horseshit.

The dem voters need to man up literally. I dropped out of college despite having the opportunity and drank 3 years of my life away. Joined the military and did 22 years. I managed to raise a family and make well over 6 figures in total income. I am an underachieving college dropout who finally woke up grabbed his balls and took advantage of the unlimited opportunities this country provides. Anyone can achieve at some level. Everyone's road will have various levels of difficulties but is doable. Libs have to stop blaming others and stop trying to take from others through elected officials. Get your lips off Bernie's sack and stop believing your success is tied to him robbing the rich. Instead get off of twitter and go get a job. There may not be one in the utopia that is California but there are jobs out there.

It's not about the hours and I can't remember the year I didn't average about 30% more in earings through overtime. But I never stayed with a sub standard wage job when better were available.

You are similar to my uncle that stayed in Helena, Montana, refusing to leave for better job opportunities even though he knew he was shut out of radiology once the hospital he worked for closed its doors.

He spent the rest of his years raising a family on seasonal rotating low paying jobs. Nice guy, always had a refrigerator in the basement full of beer and would literally go without to throw a pig roast for extended family and friends a couple times a year.

But he would not leave Helena even though my dad would send him pages of the Los Angeles Times with two full pages of ads for Radiology technicians. We choose our own fate sometimes.

Currently my brother can't seem to fill all of the factory worker jobs at his work in Arizona. The pay is above average but there seems to be a lack of people to fill the positions so there is a lot of overtime. There is also room for people to learn a skill and move up but I guess it requires someone to want it. Just a thought in case geriatric care becomes boring.

Exactly. Spending years of my life in foreign countries wasn't ideal but it paid the bills.

Blarg, You’re a fucking jerk.

Nope, you're just wrapped too tight in your own philosophical dichotomy.

You watch drowning people and expect a trillion dollar government solution then complain when someone throws a $50 life preserver. You have offered zero to Tdawg to change his situation except the false hope that if he votes harder his life will improve.

Didn’t Bernie just concede, like a week ago, that if he gets his way taxes will go up on the “middle class”? I am confident his threshold for “middle class” is far less than $250,000. And do you really think he has any interest in cancelling student loan debt for those making in excess of $100,000.

And you can tell me “boo fucking hop,” but my vote counts just as much as yours, so you shouldn’t write off my opinion. It was that type of sentiment that cost Hilary the election.

I keep going back to this question:  has the government earned the right to have more power?

The current guy in there is after all the power he can usurp and then put it all in his hands alone and yet 45% of the country is gung-ho for that.  MAGA's sure seem to think he has earned the right to take all the power he needs under the guise of he is doing it all for them.

This is such a boomer mentality and it's stupid. Once again, you don't know me or my situation.

I could always improve, but so could everyone.

Getting an education is kind of out of the question because, you know, I can't fucking afford it. And implying I should just up and move is just...how in the fuck am I supposed to do that? I'm currently living with my dad because I can't afford the average $850 rent out here. Back when it was $500-600 I could get by but not anymore. I can't just leave. There may be opportunities out there and I'd fucking love to take them despite you questioning my motivation to do so, but again, how?

You know what's funny, I probably won't even vote. I didn't in the primary. I may "support" Bernie, but I don't expect him or the government to fix all my problems like you assholes seem to think. I don't want your fucking money.

You know what else? I have been diagnosed with psychosis, severe anxiety and panic disorder with agoraphobia,. You know that last thing? That makes it nearly impossible for me to go anywhere without popping a fucking Klonopin. I can't even make it to work without it. But I fucking do it because it's my job and it's the only one I have. Oh and btw the meds I need for everything? $180 a month. But that's less than the $300 a month it would cost me for basic healthcare.

Basically, fuck you.

On your middle class point, I'd love a link to that. I never heard such a thing.

And his student loan debt plan is clearly detailed on his website. It's honestly not something I fully agree with but there's nothing about income there. That's just in your head.

And I agree your vote counts just as much as mine. I never said otherwise. Like I said you obviously worked your ass off and earned every penny you've made. Your income is none of my business but I just fundamentally disagree with your idea that you don't want any of your money going towards people who don't work, but you're seemingly fine with it going towards the 2 trillion military budget. But whatever, it's your money. You earned it and you can choose how to use it with your vote.
