If you're looking for an Irish Pub there is

The Lucky Baldwins

17 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena

They definitely cater to the soccer crowd, last World Cup some dude went running out of the bar in full team gear screaming goooooooalllll!!!! Right smack into a truck driving down Raymond avenue. At first we thought he was dead, then he jumps up and raises a fist and yells, gooooooooalllllll!!!!! And limps back into the pub for more drinks and a lot of high fives.

There are two different Lucky Baldwin’s and they’re both good.  One has more Trappist Ales. The other one has really good fish n chips.

Heres some nerd slash cop from the ghetto info.

Frogtown is by far and away one of the oldest varrios in LA.

When you hear really cheesy names, that dont sound scary at all, its usually because the gang goes back decades, to when slang was totally different.

Oddly, since most microbrews are in commercial areas.  Frogtown was the first one where I thought I would get jumped or my ride would get jacked.  Oddly, there was a lot of people walking around that area, since I guess the corner restaurant turned into some hipster hotspot.

I was going to mention Lucky Baldwins because that was our spot for soccer games (the one on the corner of Raymond and Colorado....walking distance to The Luggage Room), but not sure how it would be for night time or night life.

There is a bunch of spots right there on Colorado. We used to make a day out of Pasadena and I want to say there was a an Asian spot in walking distance that turned into a lively night spot (not quite club like, but there was a separate room to mingle and some would dance). Looking at the map that may have been the Kabuki place.

Blue Palms Brewhouse on Hollywood Blvd. in between Argyle and Gower gets Pliny on rotation. Their website tells you what they have on tap in real time.

Blue Palms comes highly recommended... grab a burger while you're there also.
