Then what was he before the previous 2 seasons then? ERA was 3.88 and 4.26. How is he not mediocre?

If I was a manager this would be one of my biggest points of emphasis.  Get into the other teams bullpen.  Yankees and Red Sox have always been good at this.

Career ERA 3.36, FIP (fielding independent pitching) 3.15.

Definitely NOT a mediocre pitcher.

That also takes into account his 2013 and 2015 seasons But I was talking about his 2016 and 2017 seasons. He wasn't pitching well at all.

Honestly like what I've seen from the offense tonight. Cole's on some kind of run right now to start the season. His numbers are video game like and he's been dominating every team he's gone up against. They're making him work for his outs and already got a big hit from Upton to get 2 runs on the board. 75 pitches through 4 puts them on track to get Cole out of the game by the 6th inning
