As far as I can tell, his hands and elbow have returned to their original position before he was signed.  He's definitely cut weight again.  And he's shortened his load.  I'm not a huge fan of it though because his hips before generated a ton of power.  When he put the weight on, his hips no longer drove the ball as they did before, so he brought his front knee in to aid in his hip turn to drive the ball.  Now it appears he's gotten rid of the front knee turning inward (thank goodness, that swing sucked), but as far as I can tell, the hips are staying more neutral than before, which could be good or bad.

But there is a caveat of sorts here.  The swing before he was drafted, was largely a BP swing to show all the scouts just how well he could drive the ball.  I wonder if the hip rotation was never feasible in the first place because it coincided with a lengthier swing and left him susceptible to a good fastball.  Also, it really depends on what frame the new swing was taken in.  It may simply be a split second later and thus look different.

dropped the left elbow down again.   hope it works.

does anyone think he looks too thin now?  ?

saw your comment on twitter Strad and totally agree.  This guy coming back on the radar would be a huge boon to the system.  Especially if he can settle in as a corner IF prospect.

He looks good right now, but granted he's wearing dark, which tends to hide things.

Toolshed: 18 prospect lessons for 2018

12. The Angels system is one to reckon with. This felt like such a theme all season long that it may be difficult to remember the time when the Halos system was one of the worst in the game. Now it boasts one of the toolsiest outfield prospects in Jo Adell and two more Top-100 prospects in Griffin Canning and Brandon MarshMatt Thaiss and Taylor Ward provided some hitting intrigue toward the top levels while Jose Suarez did the same on the mound. Patrick Sandovalwas picked up from the Astros for Martin Maldonado and finished with one of the best statistical pitching seasons in the Minors -- a 2.06 ERA, 145 strikeouts and 29 walks in 122 1/3 innings across three levels. Trout will need help to break through with his first postseason win, and right now, it's looking better than ever that that help could come internally.

Rengifo still not on anyone's radar because his lack of home run power.

It's not just the HR power, he really isn't that fast either.  He's aggressive though and makes the most of his tools.  The more I think on it, the more I see him being a .270/.360 5 HR and 20 SB type of player with above average defense.

Still, that's a lot to get excited for.  Putting that OBP and aggressiveness on the base paths in front of Trout would make this offense much more dangerous than we previously thought.  Trout goes through long stretches where he's hitting a lot of doubles and HR's with no one on.
