What does this mean about Ohtani?!

Means they can offer him less money, but doesn't eliminate them since money doesn't seem to be the driving factor.

So seems like this could have absolutely no bearing on Ohtani. If anything it reinforces this club's future.

Kevin Maitan will become the No. 1 prospect in the Angels' farm system, per @MLBPipeline, and their only prospect in the Top 100. Their first since Newcomb in '15.

 

Great to think that a strong year could see Maitan, Jones, and perhaps one of the Adell, Barria, Rodriguez, Suarez, Thaiss in the Top 100.

Does he project as a 2B long term?   If so, it's still important to get someone in here for the next 3 seasons.

From what I've read, his frame is too big for SS. I think he's ultimately more of a 3B/corner OF.

I thought Adell was in the top 100. I know he's in Baseball America's at mid-season and after his strong pro debut I'm guessing he'll shoot higher to the top.
