Don't forget Giancarlo. He's going to finish with around 60 HR, which is awfully alluring to MVP voters.

Rendon leads the NL in fWAR, but doesn't really have a chance as he's just a great all-around player - he doesn't have any one stat that stands out.

Stanton is possibly seriously in the mix.   The Fish, like the Halos in 2016, are under .500.   Is his overall game dominant enough to voters, as Trout's was in 2016?
