Greetings AngelsWin.com guys & gals, 

 

Recently I've been getting complaints about the ads running here, how they're either taking too much of the screen at the top, redirecting automatically to another page from here or some have complained of audio ads. Just so you know, I have absolutely zero control over which ads are displayed here. 

 

I'm running Windows 7 & 8 on two different laptops and using IE11 and Google Chrome and I'm not seeing any of these issues.

 

What I need from you who have experienced issues with ads is the following for me to triage:

 

Browser type (and version):

Mobile or Desktop:

Operating System:

Do you experience the same issue across all browsers, tablets, mobile devices? If not, which ones do not give you this undesired experienced with ads?

Have you cleared your browser cache/cookies? If not, please do so and try again.

 

I want to make sure your experience here is the best it can be. 

 

That said, there is a solution that I can provide if you do not want to be annoyed by ads on your desktop going forward. I can create a group of members that will be exempt from seeing ads. In doing so, my revenue to pay for expenses and web site costs will take a drastic hit. But there is a solution.

 

In that case, I can offer no ads for all members for just $25 a year or $100 for life.

 

Please let me know what your thoughts are on this and I will move forward with a plan.

Desktop - Windows 8 - Internet Explorer 10 - redirected pop up that states it will reload the website in 10 seconds then times out and I have to arrow back to previous screen.

 

 

BTW, the pop up of the day is for Hispanic Meds!

the other night it was ugly, i literally could not access the forum at all from my iphone.  I use the mobile version of safari.  On my laptop ive seen it as well, but im able to click out of it.  didn't have the problem yesterday though. 

 

it was the mobfree.click one.

It's a shame that the host site has resorted to ads that are so intrusive and insidious. I have never understood the thinking of businesses that believe that they can annoy me into buying something from them.

The crazy thing is on those ads that redirect for 10 seconds or whatever... a lot of the ads are PSA's.

No issues here either. Using iPhone 5 with latest iOS version. Also, I have all pop ups blocked. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Safari seems to be the culprit since i switched to the Chrome browser no issues

Just saw this, count me in the redirects with some countdown on a blank page. This on my MacBook Air, newest OS, Safari.

My Samsung phone in mobile mode has no issues. Either do any other devices, just the Mac.

I cleared the cache ad mentioned a week or so when it first happened, but it wiped everything I had saved. Things were back to normal but have been back to the redirects the past two days.

It's awful. When I'm not on wifi it's hit or miss on whether I'll get redirected or not. I downloaded Chrome but it seems like it doesn't work great for our mobile version.

These constant redirects blow and make it impossible to read anything on this site.

Until I go to an ad-free program after the first of the year which will ultimately be a pay feature, you can use the full version of the website over mobile to bypass these issues. 

 

To my knowledge this is just happening on mobile IOS using the mobile version of our website.

if you have iOS you can download Adblock Plus and it takes care of it.

Chuck, you really should be able to send this complaint to your ad provider and tell them it is unacceptable to be hijacking your site.
