Question

Greetings AngelsWin.com guys & gals,

Recently I've been getting complaints about the ads running here, how they're either taking too much of the screen at the top, redirecting automatically to another page from here or some have complained of audio ads. Just so you know, I have absolutely zero control over which ads are displayed here.

I'm running Windows 7 & 8 on two different laptops and using IE11 and Google Chrome and I'm not seeing any of these issues.

What I need from you who have experienced issues with ads is the following for me to triage:

Browser type (and version):

Mobile or Desktop:

Operating System:

Do you experience the same issue across all browsers, tablets, mobile devices? If not, which ones do not give you this undesired experienced with ads?

Have you cleared your browser cache/cookies? If not, please do so and try again.

I want to make sure your experience here is the best it can be.

That said, there is a solution that I can provide if you do not want to be annoyed by ads on your desktop going forward. I can create a group of members that will be exempt from seeing ads. In doing so, my revenue to pay for expenses and web site costs will take a drastic hit. But there is a solution.

In that case, I can offer no ads for all members for just $25 a year or $100 for life.

Please let me know what your thoughts are on this and I will move forward with a plan.

Not currently having issues with Android and Chrome (I really only use the mobile version of the site) but I just want to tell you I'd happily pay for an ad-free experience.

Time to ramp up AW.com premium.  Put Sports Central and the Hangout on the permium side.

I also have experienced no issues with using the site on my phone where I do not have an adblock app.  It uses chrome.

AdBlock may help YOU, but it most certainly doesn't help website owners and their costs, especially this one to remain free (as it currently is) if a good majority of people use it.

Yeah sorry, I don't have it specifically for this site.  Honest question:  how does the whole ad thing work?  Do they know if I am blocking their ads?  I just figured they went off the traffic the site gets.

I would also be willing to pay a small fee though.  I definitely appreciate this site.

Starting last night I'm getting redirects saying if I want to view the site I need to download a sponsored app. This is on Safari on my iPhone. It then takes me to a list of apps to download to continue viewing the site.

The site I'm redirected to is http://mobfree.click/pub/NTY1ZjU2OTMyYjFmZDg2NzcwOTg3OQ==

If that helps.

Exactly the same for me.

I get redirected to an ad site: http://go.goadvs.com/ that blanks the browser window, puts up an add, and says the website will return in 8 seconds.  But after the 8 seconds has elapsed the browser window blanks and that's it.  I have to use the "back" button to return to AW.  Then the process repeats.

I am using an old Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.10.  Tried clearing browsing data but no help.

Haven't seen the issue with Firefox but I only tried it once.

No issues here. I'm using a Samsung phone with chrome, and Windows 7 running chrome at home and the shop. I hardly even notice the Spanish advertising at the top of the page. But I did notice someone saying something about not over paying for defense... WTH?
