Fixed it for you...
Who the F*ck cares what he was as a child?  The man killed thousands in terrible ways.  Her hero worship piece was a joke.  A new low even for the NYT.

Yeah it’s too bad the article didn’t mention the brutality (through murder, rape and enslavement ) he inflicted.

The guy didn’t appear out of thin air. It gave a history of his life, which sadly is intertwined to a degree with U.S. foreign policy.

Just stop... why does every damned thing have to be political to some people?
He made a choice, we didnt make it for him.
When did personal accountability become such a distant thing

No I’m good.

Seeing as we are in the jc pol sci forum, I think it’s very relevant to discuss politics. If you’re lost and are looking for directions out, let us know.

Politics, fine... blaming the US for a madmans actions...  thats just nonsense.

I just stated a true fact. As for blame, yes we do hold some responsibility based off our foreign policy and decisions we made. We didn’t make him a into what he was with regards to religious fanaticism or force him to commit atrocious acts. We just made it a hell of a lot easier for him to do it.

I hope I’ve broken this down for you to understand.

Whether or not its intertwined is a partisan view.  With all possible respect i dont buy that at all... its the usual playing the victim card blaming everyone else but yourself mentality.
He could have used tragedy to help his people, not kill others.  Whatever was done to him he revisited many times over... we have no blame for who he was.

I'm just gonna put this right over here:

At the ned of the day for me this is something that never should have happened.

We created this by irresponsibly pulling out of Iraq without given any thought to what would happen next and pretending it would all just work itself out.
Once again we created our own enemy, as we have done so many times.
This one is the direct result of Obama's actions, and now he has to deal with it.

I think we can understand that this man made his own evil choices and is wholly responsible for them.

I also think it is wise to look back and see if there is anything that contributed or allowed this to happen.

You can understand both things to be true.

Stop sympathizing with terrorists!!!1!
