I caught some of the hearing/discussion while at the gym yesterday and Kerry said something similar.  He talked about how we have to uphold our standing or place in the world.  I could only think that if our biggest allies who carry the most weight aren't doing anything then an attack would only help fuel hate for America which isn't the credibility we want.

Earlier I was thinking that JB Shuck winning the Angels' Heart and Hustle Award was the least surprising news of the day.

What a load of BS. I haven't seen any proof yet that Assad is behind the attacks. We all know this wont be a "limited strike" and I wouldn't be surprised if they had troops in Syria by the end of the year. The people don't want this, yet its going to happen anyway.

Now it goes to the senate for debate next week.  I love how the president has made it a point to say he can proceed with a strike even if it doesn't pass.  We can't even get our own house in order yet we can spend time, money and lives trying to make others do what we want.

That red line comment is pretty silly though Obama is referring to the fact that chemical weapons have banned since 1925. This will pass the Senate, the House is our only hope and that scares the crap out of me.

I thought Jon Stewart did a pretty good job blasting Obama last night.

 

This whole thing is bullshit.  I never understand why we get involved in civil wars, regardless of how many people are dying and how they are doing it.  These guys have been killing each other by various dastardly means for thousands of years, it wont stop with some half assed military action by the US.
