Whoa down there, boy. That is the only high speed rail that would make sense and a possible profit. From Union Station out to the IE then high speed all the way to Las Vegas would be the ultimate party train. Cocktails and apitizers with 24/7 service would see jam packed cars from Monday to Sunday as millions of riders would take that train rather than drive or fly. Needs only to drop people off at a Monorail that runs through the strip and you have competed the designated driver run from doorstop to casino.

Agree, the only high-speed rail idea that ever made sense was a route from L.A. to Vegas.

Unfortunately it takes 5 hours to drive from O.C. to L.A. so it won't help you guys.

Unfortunately this train is between Vegas and Victorville. At least travelers will have an ample supply of meth for those all night Vegas benders.
