the narrator for those old NFL films was a guy named john facenda. he had the perfect voice and inflection for the job.

That and the classic music played during the late 1960s'-mid 1970s weekly highlights show = epic.

 

Even the SpongeBob creator incorporated that highlights music into that show.

Yeah, looking at the schedule DEN still has PITT, CIN, and SD.......Depending on if Dalton returns, those might be two losses and with OAK beating them today the Chiefs would have the tie breaker for the West.

Imagine it this way. The Chiefs get the #1 wild card while either the Steelers or Jets get the second one. The Chiefs would play the AFC South winner in round 1. The other team gets the Dalton-free Bengals. Easy to see both WC teams winning and even as a Broncos fan I'd expect the Chiefs to beat them and be headed to the AFC title game.

I think every playoff team but 2 were first round byes.

From the tough late 90s Bronco team losses, to Captain Comeback Jim Harbaugh, to the early 90's teams with Trent Green and the best offense running into Peyton and the game with no punts.

But yeah, I don't expect people to take them seriously. It's the 7 game win streak no one is talking about. I just hope they aren't peaking too early. Their next games are BAL, CLE, OAK....last two at home. They can realistically win 10 straight into the playoffs.
