I read that if he were to get injured he would be guaranteed $40m over the next two seasons. I still think at the end of it all Carr will still be the Raiders starter next year mainly because I don't think they have a decent option to replace him with. Word is (speculation at this point) that Carr will be released after the Super Bowl. He gets paid for another season if he is on the roster after that.

There has also been talk of exactly what you mentioned -  a trade reuniting Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Rodgers seems pretty fed up with the way that the Packers are being run.

Just please, no Tom Brady nonsense.

Rodgers is nonsense as well. He is going on 40 years old. There is no Raider future with Rodgers, at best one year of better than Carr but that isn't moving the needle all that far.

They need to get younger and grow into a team. At the very least go old school Raiders with a Baker Mayfield, all around arsehole but with skills to back it up. He also has to take what any team will offer since he has created that image of a player with volitility. He could be a fit.

I thought about Mayfield. He might be just what they need.

I didn't realize that Rodgers is quite that old. I knew that he has been in the league for a long time.

I always thought he was their best plan B, but I also think he won't do better or worse than Carr and the team doesn't improve with the signing.

I still have the Raiders finishing in last place in the West with the signing.

It’s a stop gap signing that can give them production close to what Carr did at a lower cost. If a QB they want falls to them at pick 7 they can draft him to hold a clipboard and cut ties with Jimmy G after next season. That said I’d definitely expect them or the broncos to finish last in the AFC west.

rams also release floyd and wagner from the defense to get under the salary cap. not feeling very good about this rams defense for next year.

I don't know, If I was Jimmy G I wouldn't be rolling around with porn stars. Should be banging A list models like CMC.

I haven't been to a Raiders game yet. I had planned to go this season with my best friend who passed away unexpectedly last November. I am considering the Minnesota game, because he was a huge Vikings fan, and it is a given that we would have gone to that one.
