I can't wait for this.

I don't get to many films on opening day, but I've got my ticket and I'll be there on Thursday night.

I hope you are all blessed with Alamo Drafthouse theaters soon.

I'm pumped.

Alamo Drafthouses sound interesting.  But in the meantime, I go to Arclight, usually the dome.  What they need to expand on at Arclight is the 21+ screenings so you can take alcohol in.

But yeah, have my tickets/seats already for Guardians.

I've never been so excited for a movie. It holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

I'm kind of sad that Alamo Drafthouse is expanding. Businesses tend to lose their charm after becoming chains.

I dunno.

I think Drafthouse can be successful and retain charm.

I kind of fall on the side of not seeing what everyone is so excited about, outside of the people who would be fan of the source material, I guess I could understand that.

I'm curious and want to see mainly because of James Gunn, but everyone keeps saying that the trailers look "bad ass" or "awesome", but it just looks like another action blockbuster with middle-of-the-road humor. I know James Gunn's sense of humor and expect it to be better/funnier than the trailers, but if I'm just judging the trailer like a lot of people I know are, I don't understand the excitement from that alone.

I don't quite get the excitement for it either but it seems like a lot of things these days it's getting hyped because of social media and the momentum just kept building over time.  One of the lines from the trailer from John C. Reilly where he says the guardians are our only hope is so bad mostly due to his delivery that I can't help but laugh.  I like sci-fi/comic/fantasy movies so I'll see it at some point but I'll wait until the interest dies down and see it in an almost empty theater or wait for the DVD.
