IDK WTF you guys are saying but it has nothing to do with ERA. Street's ERA has bloomed to a grotesque 1.80. Let the hair tearing and clothing rending begin!

I guess Rondons have become as overvalued as gold became a few years back.

Elliot Morris with SD - 3.56 ERA across 8 starts.

Jose Rondon with SD .301/.371.  The patience returned. 

R.J. Alvarez with SD 16 IP 23 K's 1.7 BB/9, made it up to the majors in only his second season of pro ball and is widely considered their future closer.

Taylor Lindsey with SD .219 with no power but a nice K/BB.  No idea what's gotten into him. 

 

All in all, I'd say SD is making out pretty well here.  Morris will be in AA next year and fulfill his role as a backend SP by the end of next year.  Rondon has done exceedingly well as a 20 year old in A+ ball and is likely to crack the Top 100 prospects after this year.  Alvarez is already in SD and is earning raving reviews from both staff and evaluators.  Lindsey's lost in the sauce. 

 

Meanwhile Street blew a save but is still someone I completely trust in the 9th inning.

Was thinking about it the other night. Street just seems automatic (sans last night). When he comes in you expect him to get it done, even when he always seems to put someone one 1st.

I cant remember feeling like that about any of our relievers in a long time.
