The team is slightly improved over last year IMO. Really liking the SP...well Weav worries me but the young guys are showing promise which is most important for this franchise moving forward. They should be able to win around 82-84 games IMO

 

they are still awful at situational hitting, which has been a trend over the past few years now and is annoying. This pen, as we thought, is garbage. Smith/Frieri look good, Kohn has looked better lately, but after that it's worthless. DDLR is coming off elbow/forearm soreness and is throwing 88 MPH right now, which means he either has dead arm or TJS is forthcoming for him. Salas/Jepsen are absolutely worthless and must be replaced. Sosh can't help himself but use these scrubs in big moments and it will continue to burn him and the team. They must replace these 2 via trading for a reliever or Burnett magically returning or a call up from the minors surprises and does well

This year he has much better options than he's had in the past. Most of the time I'd agree with this sentiment but there was literally 0 reason to bring Salas in in that situation. Smith was the obvious choice. Hell even Kohn was a better choice.
