@jonmorosi: Relevant point: Scioscia is signed for more years and greater dollars than Dipoto. Scioscia is unlikely to resign and forgo huge payday.

My guess is Dipoto will go as he should. I don't think Scioscia is going to be let go knowing his track record before 2010. Dipoto has no track record other than destroying this franchise.

Arte was very much involved in the acquisitions of Pujols and Hamilton so he can't throw Dipoto under the bus. That would also be an admission by Arte that he made a mistake hiring Dipoto in the first place. The new Sheriff will be spared.

And why is it an owner or leader wouldn't do something for the betterment of their organization just so they can avoid admitting a mistake?
