Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman verdict

Recommended Posts

She was actually sentenced to that over a year ago.  I too have seen the story pop up in the last few days again.  Not sure why.

And the "arrested for firing warning shots" is not accurate. Just typical skewed facebook BS.

tl;dr Woman confronts husband with whom she had been separated from and ultimately grabs a gun and shoots it at the husband (and children), narrowly missing his head.

If Zimmerman had listened to the police, who told him to stay away, none of this would have happened. Hard to believe a man carrying a gun, looking for a confrontation, ends up killing someone and gets off. Then again, it's Florida.

No one knows exactly what happened or what these two individuals were going through when this incident happened except Martin, Zimmerman, and apparently red321.

Thanks for the clarification. Things are so slanted to support or discredit a particular pov that its become increasingly more difficult to get the truth in any kind of unbiased way.

There are plenty of unbiased people on AW.com, you just don't listen to them.

She and Martin both attempted to get their trials dismissed via "Stand Your Ground" motions. The motions in both trials got rejected, therefore the cases are similiar.

I personally think she should have received jail time based on thsi but the 20yr mandatory sentence was probably excessive. IMO mandatory sentencing laws are usually bad, and typically motivated to make prosecutors jobs easier (people more likely to accept plea deals instead of going to trial if there's a risk of an over the top sentence)

OK, Zimmerman is Not Guilty.

Done and done.

What will the next "Trial of the Century" be?

Wife killer? Done.

Baby Killer? Done.

Serial Killer? Done.

Wife mutilates husband? Done.

What about that Horse raper that Patty mentioned a while ago? That guy deserves national outrage from Nancy Grace, doesn't he?

I didn't say it had anything to do with the verdict, mt.  I have to ask why this story was the lead on all MSM TV and newsprint.  Huge headlines in the LAT.

This was a tragedy, no doubt.  But this the biggest issue of the day?  CNN devoted most of last week to this trial?
