Maybe they can channel his inner asshole into being a true closer. Some guy like Al Hraboski that was mad as hell just having to take the mound so he was going to take it out on the competition and strike the whole lot of them out or kill them trying. Plesac just needs to grow a Fu Manchu mustache.

Austin Warren has to be among the 40-man DFA candidates since he’s hurt and already cleared waivers previously.

I like that Plesac didn't regret breaking COVID protocols since shelter in place was stupid and evil to start with. However, his pitching hasn't impressed anyone for a couple years now.

So many times the Angels have acquired a pitcher  that shouldn't be bad.   Mediocrity expected.  Maybe a bit better.  They turn into Allen Watson and Tyler Anderson.   Every time.  So it seems

maybe my memory is messing with me, but it seems like it wasn't too terribly long ago that some posters here were very interested in signing this guy for our pen.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. It's a low risk chance to get some decent production. He has options.

Also I'd love if he reinvented himself as a bullpen guy a la Moore or the numerous other failed starters that became good relievers. Just a thought.

I agree.

He will end up starting 15 games and have a 5.69 era though
