I agree with this. Over the course of a year you need 10-12 starting pitchers. I’d rather have one stashed away at AAA who has pitched in the majors and had success than have to start peoples clocks as we’ve seen happen repeatedly over the years. Obviously my opinion of this changes if no one else is brought in.

This deal could turn out really good and is low risk. Strange it takes so long on terms of deal. It makes me wonder if Angels just not spending this off season. Seems like the way Oakland has done signings.
