No one is going to stop following the team if they sign Bauer. If the Angels sign him and someone on here says they are no longer going to follow the team then they should probably be shown the door here as well.

In a vacuum, I would tend to pass on Bauer due to the optics and the potential character issues. However he is exactly what the Angels need - a high ceiling, low risk deal.  Give him the Syndegaard deal with an option and there is almost no downside. If he comes in and behaves/performs, the club has a potential TOR arm without the 5-7 year commitment attached someone like Snell. If he lays an egg, who cares?  It’s not like this organization has a stellar reputation right now for a variety of reasons.  

This team needs some lightning in a bottle to compete in 2024.  It’s the perfect time to roll the dice on Bauer.

No. Turner is about to receive AARP invitations in the mail, Bellinger looks like free agency fools gold after a dead cat bounce, Joc does nothing that Moniak doesn't do better, Kike is a slightly better hitting Squid and that's not a compliment. 

The last is Bauer.

The 5 cent whore that he banged cost him his career and he is dead to MLB GMs because even they have wives and probably a very uncomfortable designer couch to sleep on.

Everyone wants pitching, hes arguably maybe the best available and should come cheaper and lower risk.
