Won't strike out much, is a little on the passive side which results in lots of walks. Big, strong kid. Can hit the ball a country mile without hacking. 

I'll call him Joey Votto light, just because GABP inflates Votto's power numbers. 

I'll say he's going to be a .280/.380 25 HR hitter. Either a DH or a 1B.

Seems like a low ceiling high floor player that was picked because he can move through the system quickly. Aka they want to show the fans a shiny new toy by early next year to distract from the poor performance

1B is a position of need. This pick makes sense as he will be closer to ML readiness than a high school talent. They need a 1B now

I just feel like it's much easier and cheaper to sign or trade for a first baseman more so than other positions in baseball. 

My opinion I think we could've done better.

Prospects are just that, prospects. There is never a guarantee they will become anything. You take your chances and try to fill positions of need.

Lol... remembered having the same underwhelming feelings with those guys too.  But whatever, we needed a first baseman and we all know those are hard to find in baseball.
