My hope for Schanuel is that he becomes Wally Joyner. In my mind, that would make this draft a success.

Is there any chance Schanuel could make it to the big club as soon as September lol imagine that. If he just absolutely tore up whatever league they put him in.

I find him probably most comparable to John Olerud. Closer in height, roughly same type of athlete, about what we can shoot for in terms of power at this point. Taking into account how often 1st round picks bust, I'm hoping he gets to Wally's level and then hope for more. Amazingly, Wally is only behind Don Mattingly by 7 WAR over their careers. Mattingly trails Olerud by 16 WAR. Just seemed Mattingly was so much better of a player when watching live than what the stats say.
