Is anyone else worried about Taylor Ward's injury?

@tdawg87you knew this was coming, as did most of us.  I just wish the organization would stop telling us shit just to pacify us.

Day to day, “May” play tomorrow, is available to pinch hit, etc.

Just let us know when the surgery is so we can deal with it.

Yeah I've had a stinger before and I couldn't even lift my arm to get a glass out of the cupboard it was so bad. That pain and restriction took 3-4 months to heal.

I just hope it's a mild stinger for Ward.

Yep, it sucks. The pain was the worst first thing in the morning.

Im still confuse on how he can hit but not throw.. he's experiencing weakness in his right arm/side that's making it difficult to throw..but he's also needs that right side to swing the bat...if the right side is weak, that's also going to affect his swing and hitting ability.

It's not his side.

The way he described the strength tests, they are done when he raises his arm with his elbow at a right angle (like when you're taking an oath) and then he pushes backward. They measure the force he can exert, relative to the baseline measurement they took in spring training.

Also, I was off yesterday, but I made note of the fact that Frostad told the reporters there that Ward was at 65-70 percent of his baseline strength on Friday. On Thursday it was 60 percent. On Tuesday it was 50 percent. They said he can start to throw at 80 percent.

If it's a stinger in his neck/shoulder, that would make sense that it pinches and affects strength when your raise your arm, but not when you lower it. So that's how he can hit, but not throw.

That sounds encouraging!

So 10% better.
