With an off day tomorrow, kind of weird for Trout to be resting, but I guess this is something we'll see from both him and Rendon in the early going considering their injury history last season. I'd expect Rendon to get a day off shortly

The Angels are now 7-2-1 in series this season, but the sweep would be very very nice.

Next 12 are against the A's & the Rangers. Need to beat the crap out of them while they're down.

2022 needs to be a season of payback to the rest of the AL West.

Agreed that it is odd to rest the best player in baseball when we have an off day tomorrow. Not a fan of that move at all, especially with how great he was yesterday.

Hoping both Trout and Ohtani play on Sunday as I'm going to that game (NorCal Halos fan here). Bought tickets for it a few weeks ago as it was going to be an Ohtani start until his last start was pushed back.

The home team provides the game balls and “Arte” thinks it’s getting expensive with Trout hitting them into the stands.

I think Maddon and Perry see what the rest of us see--there is a very big need to keep some of these injury prone guys healthy. Rendon and Trout are going to get days off every 10 days or so, and if they can back that up into a day off, they'll do that too. Also, Stassi is only going to catch about 100 games or so to keep him healthy (bad hips). I imagine if they hadn't won yesterday he'd be playing to try and grab the series. I don't like it because Trout is the best player alive, but if this helps him stay healthier all year by all means, do it while Ohtani is pitching and we've clinched the series.

This is the Angels first series win against the Rays in Anaheim since 2014. A brutal 4 win, 16 loss record in that time. That shouldn't happen on your home field. Get the sweep.

I'll miss most of this game due to another movie screening for work.  Hopefully the outcome will be the same as Monday when that happened!
