Angels’ #1 target must be Max Scherzer

Like saying, one of the reasons he will take the Mets offer is because he believes in the union and getting the most money for the players coming behind him.

Good.  Neither team that played in the world series had a pitcher earning over 30 million dollars.  It's possible to win without a 43 million dollar pitcher.

99% of the players provably “believe in the union” and care to some degree about the system they leave for the players coming.

I am sure this accurately describes Scherzer.

And he signed with the Mets because it is hard to walk away from THAT much more money than the second best offer.
