  1. Yep. Let's head over to the "Tired of the positivity" thread!
  2. I don't know why, but I'm kind of unhappy that this has been solved now. It's a bit like going to Roger Patterson's estate sale and finding a big Sasquatch suit in a nondescript cardboard box.
  3. Careful cals, Taylor has AG Garland's cell phone number, so when he means "reported", it may not mean reported to Chuck.
  4. Yep. He's always one of two places...either at a Las Vegas memorabilia store trying to scrounge up a few bucks by signing autographs. Or he's at a sports book watching if the few bucks he scrounged up got him a winning ticket. I've seen him many times at the Mandalay Bay sports book in one of their private suites there. It's pretty sad. It's obviously a clinical-level addiction for him.
  5. Is that a gif of the new interpreter practicing his "interpreting" for tomorrow's appearance?
  6. popcorn.gif Presumably, with no interpreter, Ohtani will just shrug at all the questions and then walk out of the briefing room without saying a word?
  7. Ah good point, that could mean he had something like a $500k line of credit. Maybe that's reasonable for his salary. But his salary is insane for his official duties.
  8. Yes. I don't buy the whole idea of an interpreter making $300k-500k range. That is insane money for an interpreter. Way above market. If he makes way less than that, then like others have said, he can't possibly be getting a $4.5m LOC with bookies. But if he does actually make that much, there is more going on than just interpreting. And who pays that salary?
  9. Three things I'd really like to know right now: 1. Is this the biggest bullet Arte has ever Dodgered? 2. When will Dodging season be done? 3. Can you make this stuff up?
  10. Ah, now it all makes sense. hazelbazel didn't post a link in today's post, but there is one in a prior post. So the bot is bumping the thread to get the link some more views. @Chuck User SandrMilky also spamming a link in this thread, probably needs to be removed also. ghamadous also suspect as a thread-bump helper account.
  11. Actually yeah, looking at hazelbazel post history, that's just a link spamming bot that happened to not include a link this time. The other posts were bland AI-like nonsense with an embedded link in the post. @Chuck Might want to disable the hazelbazel account.
  12. I think we found Ippei's burner account...why else would anyone be bumping this thread back to the front page?
  13. I mean, it makes sense. You can get him onto the IL in the first game by the bottom of the 1st instead of the bottom of the 2nd or 3rd.
  14. He said there's 4.5 million gallons missing and somehow Shohei knew nothing about it.
  15. El Rojo will always be one of my favorites. He certainly played the game the right way. Even if he never did figure out how to hit the ball up the middle or to the opposite field. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/03/kole-calhoun-announces-retirement.html
  16. Not true, I pulled up the Locust Doppler 3000 live data directly myself, this is impossible to fake:
  17. Not sure, could be one of two possibilities: 1. Less sodomy going on there (seems unlikely, though). 2. (Wally) Moses asked the Lord (Commissioner Manfred) to spare the center of the city.
  18. Plague of locusts. Here's the current Locust Radar. Particularly heavy over Peoria right now.
  19. Someone's gotta say to him, "You're in Victor's seat." But seriously, Wayne's been great. And I, for one, am glad we stopped the post-Victor merry-go-round and have a high quality PBP once again. I like the lighter style he and Gubie seem to have together. Particularly when Wayne comes up with some witticism that sends Gubie into a fit of laughing.
