Detmers hasn't been as sharp with the curve or slider today.  he can usually throw those for strikes at will and it's what he used a lot to get ahead of hitters.  Then he'd elevate the fastball.  Haven't loved the pitch calling for him today based on what made him successful in the minors but it will come at some point.  A lot of it is on Detmers lack of control of his curve and slider today.  Surprised we haven't seen the changeup vs. RHers.

He just need to locate his fastballs much better.

First homer was middle in fastball to one of the league leading homerun hitter, and second homer was a fastball right down the middle of the plate.
