Agree about Rocket Man, but I don't think you can really blame Rami Malek for lip-syncing Freddie Mercury, you can't act a voice like that, Freddie was just incredible. Elton John has a good voice but not a fantastic one, if Rami Malek had tried to sing Freddie's songs the narrative would have all been how poor he was by comparison. 

Both excellent acting performances and both films are great fun to watch.

He did over in the US, but not over here. Queen were much bigger at their peak and because Elton John concentrated so much of his career in the US he never quite reached the levels of adoration Freddie and Queen did. Freddie has one more number 1 single too if I remember correctly. It's pretty close but Freddie shades it over here.

Both had brilliant careers and are among the very best entertainers ever to grace a stage.
