This season would be a far different story with a healthy Trout, Rendon, and Walsh in the lineup (assuming Walsh's first three months' production), a bullpen even remotely decent, and a stable rotation. We'd be right in the thick of the wild card race at least.

Oakland has four pitchers that have made at least 20 starts so far. They also have a consistent lineup, day after day, and scored several good players at the deadline. A well balanced team with a good manager. They're not dysfunctional.
